I've been blessed with truly wonderful audiences for my Rakugo shows in English. For me, it's a real pleasure to perform for enthusiastic groups of children. Even the younger ones stay focused.
The beauty of Rakugo in English is that, even if the audience members don't understand 100% of what is being said, they can usually follow the story based on the gestures and facial expressions. This helps to build confidence and encourages them to believe in their own ability to communicate in English.
